JoAnn Planavsky

My inspiration is Bower Birds, which attract their mates by adorning and decorating their mating grounds with objects that are eye-catching and beautiful. With metal, stone and found objects, I too offer beautiful adornments. My pieces often incorporate symbols to address ideas and questions about the passage of time, the stages and cycles of life and the representation of the feminine. A sense of balance and resolution can be attained through my art.

I delight in combining beads and wire into high quality, reasonably-priced jewelry. I work with materials ranging from very economical to precious stones, gold and platinum. My styles range from ‘ancient classical’ to cutting edge ‘modern.’ All pieces demonstrate a harmony and balance of combined patterns that are pleasing to the eye.

Peggy Kittelson

Peggy’s dream of creating a unique line of jewelry has become a reality and her designs are each one-of-a-kind creations. Each distinctive piece of jewelry is created by hand-cutting and fusing multiple layers of dichroic glass in a special high-fire kiln at temperatures in excess of 1500 degrees. Pieces often require multiple firings to achieve the desired effect.

Kathy & Tim Nelson

Nature, art and family have always been important in our lives. Together as a team, Tim and Kathy create to inspire the youth with imagination and to find their gift to create. Lake Superior stones, naturally tumbled along the shoreline, inspire us to create our jewelry and other works of art. Each beach stone is hand-picked along the shore; ready to tell a story. Connect yourself to the earth and be inspired with our wearable art on a rock, accented in sterling silver.

Norma Refsal

My passion for metalsmithing began when our family lived in Telemark, Norway in the late 1980s. After gaining competency in the medium I became increasingly drawn to creating jewelry for the 21st century, based on timeless Scandinavian-inspired designs. Neo-Nordic, some have called it. I create jewelry for daily wear, finding the simplicity of the design to be both timeless and elegant.
